BoDetect is a program for detecting and removing Back Orifice and several other Trojan horses from your computer. If you haven't heard about Back Orifice yet, it is a tool designed to allow your computer to be controlled remotely, and it represents a severe security problem. BoDetect runs silently from the system tray, and monitors your system for the presence of invading Trojans. If it detects Back Orifice, NetBus, or another Trojan, it provides detailed information on how many instances were found, and what they were installed as (the actual Registry keys and the names of the executable files). You can have BoDetect send an email message that details the discovery. It also creates a log file that details the Registry keys that were removed and the program files that were renamed.
